PLUS PRODUCTS

NO-BURN® PLUS

In most structures, the interior walls that cover the framing are the first line of defence against a fire, weakening the structural integrity of a building. To aid in this defense, NO-BURN® PLUS was developed. NO-BURN® PLUS is an interior latex paint product that can be used as a base or primer or tinted to match the finish coat. NO-BURN® PLUS is an intumescent fire reactant that when introduced to heat or flame, foams up providing a protective char barrier that shields the underlying materials from heat and fire. This protective barrier "swells", creating an intact "cocoon" that can withstand a tremendous amount of heat and fire.

In new construction, NO-BURN® PLUS works very well as a primer coat, applied directly to new drywall or wood. NO-BURN® PLUS provides a solid, bright white surface for the application of finish coats. In existing homes and businesses, NO-BURN® PLUS can be tinted and used as a finish coat for those who want the protection applied as a final coat. NO-BURN® PLUS can also be used on the framing of a structure, giving the entire structure a Class A rating on all the structural components. Having a Class A rating gives the structure the best possible protection against fire, especially in areas where a high fire hazard exists such as urban areas with homes in close proximity, or in woodland areas.

USES: NO-BURN® PLUS can be applied just like any latex paint and can be used on wood, drywall, plastic; anywhere regular latex paint can be used. It must be applied by a certified NO-BURN® TECHNOLOGY INC. applicator.

NO-BURN® PLUS SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR USE

The NO-BURN® PLUS SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR USE was specifically developed in response to the wildfire problems in the United states, as well as the prevalence of wooden structures in close proximity in neighborhoods across the U.S. and around the world. The PLUS SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR USE consists of the application of two coats of NO-BURN® PLUS painted on the exterior surfaces, then sealed with a top coat of a high quality exterior paint.

USES: For exterior wood surfaces and surfaces under aluminum siding, brick veneer, and other protective surfaces.

Wood is the primary component used in the construction of most houses and many commercial facilities. These structures, especially during the framing stage, are very susceptible to fire. Once the structure is completed, the wood dries out over time leaving a very volatile mass of fuel to burn. Whether the fire is started by human error, an electrical malfunction, lightning, chimney fire or other means of ignition, if the structure is not protected, it will burn. With lightweight building materials and construction methods in use today, many of these homes and businesses are experiencing structural failure within minutes of a fire starting. This leads to injury and death of both occupants and firefighters.

NO-BURN® WOOD GARD is the answer! When applied during the framing of the structure, NO-BURN® WOOD GARD protects indefinitely. Whether an electrical short inside a wall, the structure sustains a lightning strike or a fire within the living space extends to the framing, NO-BURN® WOOD GARD is ready to protect the structure. NO-BURN® WOOD GARD Mih is a dual action product that has proven to be effective against the potential of fires as a Class A fire reactant and also inhibits the growth of toxic black mold (stachybotrus chartarum), according to ASTM D5590-94. The product has proven to be more effective with regards to the preservation of the structural integrity of wooden structures when tested against FRT plywood and impregnated wood, both particularly when subjected to repeated exposures to flames and fire.

NO-BURN® ORIGINAL is a versatile product that can be used to achieve NO-BURN's fire-inhibiting capabilities on wood furniture, mantels, banisters, cabinets, crafts, various hobbies and wood (prior to finishing) i.e. ornamental surfaces, as well as wood shake roofs. ORIGINAL does not leave a residue.

USES: Use on wood shake roofs, wood furniture, crafts, mantels, banisters, kitchen cabinets, ornamental wood (before finishing-sealing).

FABRIC FIRE GARD

NO-BURN® FABRIC FIRE GARD

Interior furnishings are the number one contributing factor to the swift spread of fire and smoke within a home. In most cases, it is the toxic smoke that kills the occupants, not the fire itself. Interior furnishings also contribute to the phenomenon know as "flashover", in which the air within a structure becomes superheated, causing everything within the vicinity of the fire to explode into flames. It is not survivable by occupants, and rarely by fully protected firefighters. FABRIC FIRE GARD, a clear and odorless liquid, was developed to help alleviate this problem. Not only can FABRIC FIRE GARD slow down the fire, but in many cases it will not allow interior furnishings to catch fire.

USES: Use FABRIC FIRE GARD on upholstery, bedding and mattresses, drapes, curtains, furnishings, tablecloths, pot holders, stuffed toys, crafts, clothing, holiday decorations, costumes and many other household items etc. NOT FOR USE ON LEATHER.
