NEWS THAT MATTERS!
In today's society most people rely on our elected officials to guide them in the right direction. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same ides as the next person. This can lead to a difference of opinion and eventually to misinformation or an exclusion of correct information. In the world of fire protection, most people have the same goals but not the same ideas. Those goals are to save lives no matter what. Those ideas about how we do this are not. Since the early 1800, sprinkler systems have been in place in various applications and have worked very well. However, in the 21st. century, technology has allowed us to perfect how we fight fires and save lives. Some fire fighters love the idea that a new product has the potential of keeping a fire from starting in the first place. Other fire fighters are old fashioned and prefer to have sprinkler systems installed in everything, including the dog house. Once again we're talking about a difference of opinion.
The fact of the matter is, the No-Burn® line of products are ICC (International Code Council) approved (AC 363) which means that they have passed a very demanding and difficult criteria (ESR 1838). They have passed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) room test 286 and the ASTM E-84 (American Standards for Testing and Materials) and the NFPA 255, 701, the ASTM E-119 2 hour Wood stud wall barrier test which falls under the NFPA 703 Criteria. The UL 723, ULC, and the ASTM D-5590 zero mold growth on the MIH products. Not to mention, that on an FRCR (Fire Resistive Class Rating) -1application, you get a One Million dollar product liability coverage policy. As a homeowner, it can save up to 30% on your homeowners insurance policy. As a builder, it can save up to 30% on your builders risk. Now what other Fire retardant protective product can say all that? Most important is that the flame spread and the smoke development on the ASTM E-84 test was 5 flame spread and 25 smoke development. That's incredible, and its all about saving lives!
We're not saying to abandon sprinkler systems, Not At All! We're saying give the builder and consumer a reasonable and reliable choice. The facts are in! There is no denying that No-Burn® works, and works well! As for you doubters, it's time to get with the times! Municipalities all over the U.S. have started to amend the use of an AC 363 High Performance Spray-on Fire Retardant in lieu of sprinkler systems.

No-Burn® Technology is happy to be associated with Fire Wise to help educate the public on wild fire safety and how to prepare for wild fires. We at No-Burn® Technology had the pleasure of work with Roni & Jim Vale founders of Fire Wise on the Front Range, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation for the purpose of designing and building cost-effective single-family and multi-generational homes. The Fire Wise Ranch is a multi-generational model and demonstration home built on the wild-land urban interface with a total of 10,361 sq. ft.. For the Parade of Homes in August 2007, 3,709 sq. ft. on the main and garden level were finished.
Built on green land with "Fire Wise" qualifications, this home was constructed applying 
both interior and exterior fire prevention concepts and utilizing fire resistant materials. No-Burn® Wood Gard and No-Burn® Plus were used on the interior. Wood Gard was applied to the attic and trusses. This will prevent burning ambers of a forest fire from entering the attic vents and igniting. No-Burn® Plus was applied to the walls as a primer coat. This will prevent any ignition of the walls in the event a fire were to occur inside the home due to the ignition of an untreated item.
